The Scratch Sessions Return January 30th @ UWM’s Kenilworth Square East Gallery

The Scratch Sessions returns for the Spring with a special surprise. We’ve partnered with UWM and their Community Engaged Arts initiative to bring you the “Scratch Sessions East” at the Kenilworth Square East Gallery on Tuesday nights from 5-7pm between January 30th – February 27th. This is a combination of our Monday and Thursday classes (which will return in March).

The space is huge, so that means we’ll have more equipment and lessons available for ALL! DJ Bizzon and DJ Loop are your main instructors and they will be joined each week by special guest DJs from Milwaukee who will co-teach with them! Youth ages 12-19 and WOMEN of all ages, no matter the experience level, will learn everything from the fundamentals of DJing all the way to advanced techniques and how to turn DJing into a career. This five-week session ends with a final showcase/party on February 27th in the Kenilworth Gallery and the entire community is invited.

The sessions are $Free.99, with free food, free wifi and yes, there are free bus passes! These will get you to and from the sessions. Parents and supporters, if you’d like to donate, you can by coming down and connecting with the youth and/or bringing food/snacks/water for the youth!

If you know any young people or women who are interested in DJing in any way, let them know! Or if you are a DJ and would like to brush up on your skills and network with other DJs, then these sessions are for you!

See you on the 30th!

(Please arrive by 4:45pm so we can start classes promptly at 5pm. But if you have to be late, it’s all good)
