The Beat Sessions at Walker’s Point Center For The Arts

Posted on

Attention all 12-19 year old youth in Milwaukee interested in Music Production. THE BEAT SESSIONS, taught by DJ Bizzon, will be held every Thursday from 3:30pm-5:30pm at Walker’s Point Center For The Arts between June 6th – July 18th.

The class is designed for youth to learn basic and advanced techniques of hip hop music production through the use of digital audio workstations such as Ableton, Logic Pro, FL Studio, etc. The skills they learn range from basic songwriting/beat design to mixing and mastering their own music and becoming an independent artist.

Laptops with Ableton Live will be provided, but youth are encouraged to bring their own laptops, MPCs, midi controllers, etc. as all lessons will be transferrable for any software they use.

The Beats Sessions are $FREE.99. All youth aged 12-19 at any experience level are welcome and established producers who’d like to provide support are welcome as well. NOTE: Youth are expected to commit to come every week, as the lessons build on the previous weeks instruction. This is not designed as a drop-in type class, so youth should plan to attend every session.

Thank you and thank you to Walkers Point Center For The Arts!
